Wild Florida
Saving the Great Apes
Special | 26m 42s
A santuary in Florida helps to save chimps and orangutans.
From their facial expressions to their mood swings. Perhaps that's why we find them so engaging when we see them in commercials and movies. But what happens to those former ape actors when they grow too big and strong to be easily controlled? Florida has one of only 10 North American sanctuaries capable of accepting chimpanzees, and it's the only non-profit sanctuary that also accepts orangutans.
